Mindy Kayl’s wetlands restoration work includes False Bay Creek on San Juan Island, the Estuary in Deer Harbor and smaller habitat creation projects for private clients. She has worked with People for Puget Sound, San Juan County, Washington State Ferries and the Forest Service.

Mindy is pursing graduate education in Ecological Restoration at the University of Victoria. As a member of the Society for Wetland Scientists, she is passionate about wetlands and all of their functions from providing critical habitat to aquifer recharge. In 2008 she was part of a successful lobby to protect the water resources in Crow Valley on Orcas Island.
